Hi, so we’re not sure why we need to get their permission to host an event? We’re not connected to the MnChn fest account and there are actually several MnChn event accounts, so it seems a bit odd that you think we need to get permission from one specific account.

Not to mention, there really isn’t much overlap in the events. Our reveals for the Wedding Week event are happening next week. Reveals for MnChn fest are being held in October.

So if you’re looking to participate in our event, it’ll be as a reader as claiming is closed and the only submissions left are for our participants who asked for an extension.

Also to be completely transparent, all the MnChn event accounts are very much aware of each other. So the MnChn fest mods/account do not need to “approve” all MnChn events seeing as how we’re independent of each other. This isn’t the first event @minchanwriters has held and it won’t be the last.

Hi! So Wedding Week is an event hosted by our account where writers can choose to write a prompt from the Prompt List (after successfully claiming and getting a confirmation message) or write a self-prompt (an idea of their own that goes along with the themes stated in our info thread) that they can register via the Self-Prompt Submission/registration Form. It’s similar to a fest in the way that writers remain anonymous in terms of what fic they’re writing for a period of time. There will be first be anon reveals of the fics, followed by author reveals. The theme weeks you mentioned are hosted by another account, @channiewriters. It’s part of their “Summer of Ships” event and since this week is MinChan week, we merely retweeted/quote-tweeted the tweets to help with promotion. If you have additional questions concerning their event, we suggest reaching out to the mod of that account.

Hi! So right now we’re in the signups and prompting phase. If you definitely think you’ll be joining, we recommend signing up via RSVP link so that we can have on record of you as a participant. It also has an option to input your email if you wanna be apart of the weekly emails.

Next week on June 26th, we’ll open claiming and sell-prompt submission. If you’re writing your own idea then you’ll fill out “Self-Prompt Submission” form as way to register your idea. From there, we’ll send you a confirmation Dm/email. In the confirmation email, we’ll include a link to our AO3 event collection. Whenever your fic is ready, you’ll simply use the link to post your work to the even collection. It’s the same as normally posting on AO3, it’ll just add your fic to both the collection and keep it hidden and anonymous until reveals.

Hi! We're well aware of the other bingo and when we were planning our own event, we took note of their account's timeline/schedule. Originally that bingo was supposed to end at the end of April and they didn't announce an extension till yesterday (which is till May 14th, not the end of May.) By then we had not only planned everything for MnChn May mini bingo, but had also made announcements on our account about a flash event (with dates) and posted teasers. It was never our intention to overlap with the other bingo time-wise, but we had no way of knowing nor predicting that the other event would give a last minute extension. So rather than cancel our event, the mods deemed it best to move forward with our event as there is always more than enough room for everyone to celebrate MnChn.
