FORBIDDEN LOVERS. this applies to two ships, kawoshin and narusasu, but i wanna focus on kawoshin cuz they are canonically together (in the manga, at least.) WARNING FOR SPOILERS BTW.

ok so anyways near the end of the show (like episode 23 of evangelion) we get introduced to kaworu. him and shinji get really close very quickly, and they have a really deep emotional connection to eachother. Kaworu also drops this BANGER line, "maybe i was born to meet you." yeah theyre gay. Anyways, like 2 episodes later shinji is forced to kill kaworu so he wouldn't start the third impact. Kaworus is an angel, and theyre basically like the """""enemies""""" of humanity. Specifically hes the first angel, adam, the creator of all the other angels. Shinjis fucking sobbing his eyes out in his eva (the big ass robot things) and kaworus like "Shinji. You have to kill me. Don't worry about me. We'll met again." then kaworu fucking dies.

AND THEN IN THE REBUILD MOVIES (its a different timeline but still canon to the universe), APPARENTLY KAWORU (cuz hes technically a god) MADE IT SO THAT WAY HIM AND SHINJI WOULD MEET IN EVERY TIMELINE. THATS HOW MUCH HE LOVES SHINJI. BUT THEYRE ALWAYS FATED TO BE SEPARATED AGAIN. AND IN THE MOVIES KAWORUS HEAD GOT FUCKING BLOWN OFF SO HE WOULDNT START THE THIRD IMPACT. DO YOU SEE THE CORRELATION? SHINJI IS ALWAYS FATED TO LOSE HIM IN EVERY. TIMELINE. I HATE THEM SO MUCH
