How bad do you think the next Trump term is gonna be now that we have seen his inauguration and his first day of executive orders? Do you think with the current state of the left that bringing back the dirtbag left and left wing populism is a good way to counter the current right wing populism? How can the left start winning the culture war again with a lot of Gen Z shifting right?
Also how do you deal with the idiots who are trying to gaslight people into believing that Elon's nazi salute was a Bellamy salute or an autistic spasm?
It's too early to make an assessment. I have a feeling that this term might be more disjointed than people realize, but it's hard to extract anything meaningful in the 'white noise' of political news.
Honestly, I mentally block out any sort of news about right-wing populism's alleged rise. There's really no point in mulling over demoralizing garbage that gets overblown by reactionaries who view politics as a team sport. That said, I still have a soft spot for the 'dirtbag left' and have optimism that people could still change for the better as they get older. A lot of young people just lack the foresight.
For the last question, there is the 'duck test' or 'call a spade a spade', but I really don't like to give the middle-aged egosurfer attention. Hell, I don't think people on that side of the aisle even like him because he makes their ideology look even more pathetic, on top of the recent H-1B controversy.
