Hello! A pinch hitter is a back up position; they are someone who gets contacted to fill in if a contributor drops and has to be replaced. Because this is conditional upon a contributor dropping, there's no guaranteed date that a pinch hitter may get invited to the server by, and there's no guarantee that any given pinch hitter will be invited to the server~ Thanks for your question! :)

Hello! As much as we would have loved to accept everybody, we unfortunately had limited space in a physical project such as this one. We really do appreciate your interest! Depending on how well the everything goes, we may be able to have a second volume at a later date to give more people the opportunity to participate as a contributor. :)

Good question! Applications will close at 11:59pm in the Baker Island time zone. This is so any given applicant will have experienced 11:59pm on June 21st in their respective time zone before we close the application forms.
