Do you think it's a good idea to normalize moving out at age 18? (as is common in the US at least)

Nah b, that might have been fine in the 1950s but these days it's just not practical. They should move out when they're able to support themselves, unless your plan all along was to spend 18 years raising a kid so they could be homeless
