I'm curious. The Tiimo recruitment makes me things there is some sort of reward way down the road if you recruit him. Or is it just flavor text?

No particular reward. At one point I was considering having his recruitment or ransom not count toward either a Scorn or Redemption run, like Jerry in Undertale. I don't remember if I actually did it or not.
