Inspired by Shannon I ask myself and you why the current pop music style is so boring, full of cover titles that are played in the current boring industrial style way and why creative people get so little attention. 'cause there is still music around that is entertaining, heartfelt, danceable, cheerful, uplifting, warm and moody.
A lot of it is money - big labels want the safety of big hits, they are allergic to risk and another Led Zeppelin cover is generally gonna get more play than a new band with a new sound - it's the same safety where you end up with thousands of McDonald's locations all over the world even if their food is generously described as mediocre
