I think it's a little of both. If I were advising somebody on humor, the first thing I would say is not to TRY to be funny - instead try to pay attention...to people, the world, and especially yourself. Patterns emerge, and humor can be mined from the experiences we all have in common, like sleeping with Chris's mom (HEY-OH!!!) see how that works? 😛
