Hi, I don’t really understand what Zine is or this project(?) is all about but I’m curious to participate as a writer cause it involves SKZ haha Could you please tell me what Zine is? I’ve never heard of it, also english is not my first language… I saw the writer application but I wanted to ask before I tried to submit anything, another question, do I have to have any published writing in my social media accounts by the submitting time or deadline? or it can be directly in the portfolio? I’m shy online >.<
Hi~! For starters, I highly recommend checking out our carrd which can be found in our bio, because it goes over a lot of this information in better detail then this tiny answer will give~!
A zine is a collection of works encapsulating a theme, in this case made by Stay, and with the theme of Alternate Universes!
The writing you submit for your portfolio does not have to be published online prior, no! It's just to show us that you've at least dived in to the world of writing, at least a little bit~

What if we've already submitted our writer application with the snippet included? Do we need to resubmit with a Google doc link?

Hi! I saw someone ask about multiple subs and i also had a similar qn I wanted to ask. I know that we'll get assigned aus, but lets say I write story A but find inspiration to write story B towards the final submission. Can I submit both and let the mods decide which to use in the zine?
We’re not stopping you from exploring more AUs! But for the sake of simplicity, please try to stick with the AU you’re assigned with from the start for the Zine. Obviously you’re more than welcome to post your explorations for other AUs outside of the Zine on your own accounts! And if you’re working and you’re just super unhappy with your AU and things aren’t working, we’ll do our best to work with you if you let us know early on, But for the Zine we’ll be formatting and releasing on 3.25, it’s a little easier on the mod team if you stick with the AU you’re assigned at the start.

Hi, I sent my writer aplication but I wanted to change some of my pitches since the ones that I sent where all within the same universe and I'd like to diversify the options I give more. Is that possible?

For the Writer’s Portfolio, can the 500 - 1000 word snippet can we just submit a draft we made or does it have to be published already? And if a draft is allowed is it okay to send a bullet point one or does it have to be a finished story?

Hi! I have another question: do we,artists, get an au assigned or do we have to create one ourselves?I read that we can use a pre-existing one but I also read an answer to another question talking about assigning AUs so I'm confused :')

In your application, you pitch three different AUs that you would be interested in exploring and doing art or writing for. These AUs you pitch can be completely original, or they can be derived from pre existing media. Once apps close, the mod team will go through and assign you one of the three AUs you pitched!

hi, this might be a little silly to ask but in the page artist guidelines you mentioned we could do an illustration with a drabble if we wanted to? could i ask what you mean by that?
Not silly at all! Originally, we put Drabble in there as a way for artists to be able to explain their AU in writing, since some larger or more complex AUs may need backstory to understand the illustration or understand the context of the comic. Since then, I’ve decided that every creator is going to be given an introduction page before their work/s, where they’ll be able to explain their au !

for artists, do all our artworks (provided we choose to do more than one) have to be of the same au?

Can i submit multiple works for the final zine? Like if i cant decide which one i want to be part of the zine, will i be able to submit more than one?
If you mean works as in AUs, each contributor is only assigned one AU. If you mean works as in pages, each contributor is granted up to 3 pages (artists) or up to 2500 words (writers) to do what they’d like with. You’re welcome to create more than this if you’re just really in the Zone and want to do more! But when it comes to the final submission for the Zine, these are the posting limits we have.

I was wondering if we’d be able to switch out one of the pitches we made in the form with another one we came up with? I came up with a much more interesting one than one of the ones i put down after the fact of course. lol
