Hello! I'm putting together my application for an artist spot, and since I wanted to try for both spot artist and spread artist, can I put together a bigger portfolio with more examples of my art? And link the same file for both positions? It would be an organized Google slide presentation in case that makes a difference lol
Hey Nonny! To be clear, spot art is not a separate role, but rather one that's been combined with the role of page artist. Page artists will be expected to do 1 page illustration + 1 very simple piece of spot art of a completed dish/recipe. If you decide to apply for the role of page & spot artist, we vote primarily based on your page illustration samples, so those should account for the majority of your samples.
If you'd like to apply for both spread artist and page/spot artist, they're separate forms and applications, so you'll be able to provide separate samples for each application to ensure they're well suited. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions! 🩵
