What did you first making Operating System Mockups?

I always wanted to make graphical user interfaces ever since I was around 5-7 years old, I upgraded from Vista (that was my first main OS) to 7 back then and I was continuously messing around with every single piece of both versions, I started to find interest in technology when I was at the end of 2nd grade and I remember that one night when I was searching startup-shutdown sounds of Windows on YouTube which has led me to the video "All Windows Startup & Shutdown Sounds | Windows 1.0 - 8.1" by Pressy Productions, and it just started to grow up from there (I was in 3rd grade, when I discovered that Windows versions before 2000 existed, my curiosity started to grow from there onwards because I was kinda gaslighted before that).

I remember, out-of-context, writing a random OS name to some random netbook and making stuff like installer screens, the bootscreen and stuff like each stage of the setup process, which actually resurfaced to my mind earlier this year.

I didn't know the existence of Operating System Mockups or even Windows Never Released until 2017, however I remember that at least a month before I actually found out that WNR exists, I started imagining some random post-Windows 10 version named "Windows Titanium" (which ironically had a release date of 2020, a year before Windows 11's release lol), I was still young back then but in my mind, I was REALLY looking for a way to express these thoughts in my head in terms of actual OS concepts. Then, one day, while I was looking for beta versions of Windows XP, I saw this random video "Windows XP History (1998-2000001) + Fake versions" by Windows Supporter, which actually YouTube put into my recommendations at the top of the home page (I was watching on a phone). At first, I was hesitant to click the video, thinking like "Wait, 2000001? Why?", then I opened the video.

I actually knew before discovering OSM/WNR that Longhorn and Whistler builds didn't use these fake sounds, I actually didn't even know about the existence of such stuff until I stumbled upon that video.

That night, and 7 other following nights after it, I remember not being able to sleep as what I've seen so far (I checked out more stuff from people like Windows Supporter, Sowinton Geek and Neptune98) definitely got me engaged too quickly with this, I kept exploring this stuff until the very end of May when I decided "You know what? I want to try too.". That day, I made a choice that brought me to this day, I decided to start making Windows Never Released (Operating System Mockups wasn't a very-known term back then) when the summer break was over, kickstarting my whole journey.

I still absolutely love doing what I'm doing when it comes to Operating System Mockups to this day and I don't want to stop doing it anytime soon, I believe I'm still getting started. This has been what I always dreamed about doing in my free time ever since I was that little kid who was tinkering around Windows 7 in every nitty-gritty detailed that he could think of.

That's all.
