Who is the best sonic character and why is it E-123 Omega

Honestly? I know very little about Omega but he does seem pretty fucking great. I haven't played a Sonic game since Shadow the Hedgehog for the Gamecube, but I remember him like. Being there.

My runner up would probably be Metal Sonic as I really like his whole concept and vibe
