I was a little disappointed that they weren't twins at first, as many others were since the early translation of the leaks said they were brothers before people realized that Jin was the brother, lol, but as soon as I considered the possibilities, uncle/nephew became an obsession 🙈 I think I had the idea for The Things He'll Do for Family that same day, and the rest is history, I guess 😆

Notifications aren't flooded on Twitter, all the likes becomes one notif that updates with the tweet the person liked last☺️

On Bluesky every single like is a notif which is annoying, but I found a feed that only shows qrts and mentions so that's no longer a problem ☺️

I appreciate every single like and love to see that people are enjoying the story. It's kinda fun, seeing someone read through a thread in my notifs and maybe leave a reaction here and there. I get if it's tedious to like every single one so I don't expect it and won't ask for it, but especially with the longer stories it's at least nice to see the bits people liked the most and knowing that they are still reading and enjoying it ☺️

I agree completely. I would even say that people who do that aren't proship, since it isn't about liking incest or other problematic ships, but about being against harassment over fiction.

People can read as much incest as they like, but if they go after other people over ship preferences, they are antis. Antis who like incest, but still antis. Just as people can be proship and only read/write/draw super wholesome things, you can like noncon, huge age gaps, and torture fics and be an anti.

There's a difference between saying "I like/prefer this ship/dynamic because of these reasons..." or "I don't like this because X reason", and saying "Everyone who ships/doesn't ship this/ships them this way are [insert insult]".

The first two examples might irritate people and can come off as rude/bad fandom etiquette if made in the wrong place at the wrong time, but they say nothing about people of the opposite opinion.

The third example is prescribing people personal traits/qualities over fiction, which is (say it with me) - ✨anti behavior✨

Jokey tone aside, people who call themselves proship don't always understand that they are acting in opposition to it. I do hope they will stop once the shoe drops, though! It's never too late to learn and grow as a person, and if they are part of the proship community, they should at least resonate with its purpose.

Disclaimer, I guess; I'm talking about openly announcing opinions on other shippers or pushing personal opinions on them after they have already voiced their stance. I'm not talking about goofing off with friends/in a group chat where everyone is as baffled by some shipping/fandom phenomena. Have fun and let those emotions and opinions out - letting off steam is good, and no one should be expected to act perfectly all the time - but if you're about to call a whole group of people idiots, or liars, or accuse them of being immoral on the timeline because they like a different top/bottom dynamic than you, perhaps consider if that aligns with the philosophy you claim to stand behind before you hit post.

This is a very late reply, I'm sorry, I just usually reply on my phone and I needed to be on a computer to reply to this so I never got around to it 😭 Perhaps you don't even need this reply anymore, but anyway:

Ao3 has something called "skins". It's basically using html to tweak your page or your posted works. The reason why you can't copy my fics is because I'm using a no-copy skin. I started using it mostly to stop my works from being scraped, but then that huge phishing scam where over 600k fics were scraped happened, and even the ones with the no-copy skin got copied, so clearly it didn't work 😅 They do make it trickier for people to copy and maybe feed the fics into shit like ChatGPT, but it doesn't make it impossible, either.

I really love the types of comments you are talking about, so I will remove the no-copy skins. If they can't protect me and only stop people from commenting, they aren't worth it 😅 However, if it's of interest, here's the HTML code:

Just go to "Skins" on your Ao3 account, create a new work skin, and paste this in, and it'll at least be a little harder for people to mess with your fics.

It's a fair question so it's definitely not annoying! I might be, though cus I will use your ask to try and address this whole dilemma so I also can share it with my other Twitter followers, lol.

I want to finish the threads I have started, so the arranged marriage thread and the soulmates thread will continue on Twitter (the latter is also on Bluesky). I'm not gonna lie, the thought of posting more on Twitter really irks me out, but I'm trying to tell myself that I'm putting too much weight on my own work 😅 I love writing the things I write, and the longer stories really do mean something to me, but at the same time it's not of any great literary value, lol, so I probably shouldn't treat it as something it's not. You just end up caring about the things you create, even if it's just porn LMAO.

Apart from that, I know that people are waiting to read those two stories and I have ended up preferring writing threads due to the interactions they create so I don't want to stop posting them. I love seeing reactions to specific posts and qoutes etc (it makes posting less lonely and more fun), and those are (precious but) few on Bluesky at the moment. They have dwindled significantly on Twitter, too, due to a few different reasons, which makes the possible transition feel easier - it's just that I would hate to leave you guys 😭

This is my biggest Twitter account to date so it feels really shitty to potentially having to abandon it and everyone who has supported my writing through it. I don't want to do that. I was looking forward to reaching 3k and excited to share the continuations to the thread fics but it doesn't feel as fun anymore.

Writing them is still just as fun, though, so even if I'd end up ditching socmed all together (HARDLY, lol, but if), I will always post on Ao3. It takes me a lot longer since it feels a bit ardous compared to threads, and the updates will most likely be slow, but I will always keep updating and posting there.

Regarding brand-new threads - I don't know if I will post them on Twitter. I think it will be hard for me not to, but I can't make any promises at the moment. We will have to wait and see. I'm at least not leaving Twitter right now. The emotional attachment is honestly too strong 😭 But I won't deny that I am trying to mentally prepare myself for leaving. I just can't yet, so I will stay until my mind is absolutely made up. Until then, I will keep going and see what happens, and I'm glad if you'll stick around and find out with me 💗

tldr; I'm not leaving Twitter yet. I will continue to update the two ongoing threads, but I don't know if I will post any new ones - we'll have to wait and see about that. Until I've made up my mind, I will use both platforms. Thanks for your patience while I figure things out 💗
