Cool, uh, so... I'll make it very short; heading towards 30 years old and fearing being "too cringe" to write a story or waiting to "be good enough" started to feel a little silly a few months back. The urge to just get practical pushed me to put down the first thing that came to mind.

Me and my GF were playing RE and talking Parasite Eve + Silent Hill around that time and I couldn't stop thinking about how to mix that kind of PS1 era body-horror with something cute and cool, like the cartoons I grew up with as a kid.

Endtown from Aaron Neathery immediately came to mind as a successful example (if you didn't read it yet fix it right away, it's a webcomic freely available online) and I begun picturing a Brisby like mouse girl looking at her own reflection in the mirror, distraught and shocked, with lots of golden hair.

I felt anxious and emphatic towards her immediately, for some reason. I started from there.
