Greetings, Lady of Regrets, Gretchen of the Goetia speaking. A tale that has been circulating recently is that our Lord, Helel, lost a duel of the Strings against a mortal in I believe a province called “Georgia?”
I have my own questions as to his capabilities, for he didn’t realize that the Creator perishing in the mortal realms was part of a grander plan, where even death was temporary to Him, when there have already been plenty of foretelling of such.
I take incredible pride as a violinist, so I was wondering your thoughts as to how our Lord could fail to gain a mortal’s soul in a contest in which he had every advantage.
Hail, Lady of the ars Goetia. Praise be to your skill with the practices of music. The Georgia province exists in the country known only, and rather blandly, as The United States of America. I am told they are a resolute and persistent people.
For the capabilities of this mortal, I confess I have only one explanation to which I have just recently become privy. I have heard that some mortals, through inexplicable reasons to me, have sometimes been gifted strangely large amounts of prowess in certain disciplines and practices by none other than the Heaven-gods that created them. Those are the few individuals who do pose any level of threat to us.
That being said, I know your curiosity is to my thoughts on an overlord suffering a loss to a single mortal. Under the assumption that this mortal was Heaven-blessed, I feel sorry for him. Under the assumption that this mortal is just that talented, I hope to take him for myself before any of you do.
Te alis ardentibus receptat, Lady ars Goetia.
