Are centaur hybrids common?
I've only heard stories, but supposedly some(only shemale centaurs in my headcanon lore) produce hybrids. Though they only last for a single generation, supposedly natures way of assuring our race doesn't diversify too radically but allow for breeding powerful hybrids in times of need/desire.

Yes, for centaurs it's more like lineages then breeds. With certain builds having been raised with different things in mind. Such a strength(warriors), agility(archers), or endurance(workers), otherwise other traits are mostly aesthetics.
