fwiw I wouldn't take people's opinions about you too personally, they're just (and may allah forgive me for allowing this term to pass my lips) virtue signalling.
they're the sorts of people who would read 86 and miss the point anyway, so they shouldn't bother
I don't take it very personally (mainly because I wasn't personally close with anyone in that community to begin with) and I've developed thick skin for this kind of hatred after enough time on the internet. I get a lot of hate messages that I just delete and ignore, so believe me, I'm good at letting stuff bounce off of me. But seeing callout posts out of nowhere is still unnerving.
