Now that I finished S2, yeah Nao is almost a non-character this season. I like the flashback and all but the Syblit design, Vargra itself,,, the advertising.
My only thing I could add is that if she wasn't possessed Nao wouldn't have gotten content anyway, considering how half this season is fight with 1 minute of plot at the beggining and the end of the episode
She was never marketed as an important character in s2 and she already made peace with her struggles. She's 'involved' in the climax just to give Akina some stakes.
