h-hi... i searched drayton kieran on twt and found your acc. funnily enough, i had the exact same thought with one of your tweets like why ppl kept arguing about kieran and drayton lmao that ex-champion comment hurt for sure but i thought about the other instances where drayton talked about kieran's passion and joy for pkmn battles. in my humble opinion, i think drayton can be manipulative and something probably happened many times to make carmine and crispin talk about drayton that way but it all boils down to his intention and how he actually admitted to the pc about his "plan" in relations to kieran.
anyways i hope we get more kieran and bb e4 content in the epilogue and hopefully future unova games manifesting i love them these characters and the challenges that come with their teams. your drayton and kieran headcanons are so fun. in the sea of ppl fighting about them, the amount of ppl liking them is so small in comparison but i think their dynamic is gold 🤣
"manipulative" is a strong word to use for drayton imo especially considering the fact that he can't be more than 17 max. i guess you could argue that he "manipulated" the player into participating in his plan but that's only because characters in pokemon games very rarely give you the chance to say "no, i don't want to do that". i would also more likely consider the possibility that drayton just gives off Bad Vibes to carmine and crispin and the other e4 members; there isn't really evidence that he had to have done something manipulative on purpose for them to have that opinion of them. i personally can be really blunt sometimes but if people go around saying i'm "harsh" that doesn't mean something significant must've happened for them to think that way of me. that's just kind of how i am. some people are naturally sarcastic and secretive and drayton is both of these things
