Can I ask how does imprinting work?? Like im confused by it since in my head if someone is like “forced to like each other” it’s not like a good thing but is imprinting different from that is it like “soulmates” or is it like the people have to like each other to actually imprint or what
I took it from the "Tw1l1ght" series and put my own spin on it. In the books, a wolf ultimately is somehow just devoted to that person. It's not always romantic either. Basically they become the ultimate perfect person for the imprintee so it could be a lover. a friend, a brother - that wolf is hardwired to be absolutely whatever the imprintee desires.
In my fic, it's more like a soul mate bond. You have a character (Hyvne) who is so stubborn and so dead set that he fights what's in his nature because that's the type of person he is. If this were absolutely canon, he wouldn't fight it. It's a battle of heart and head with him. Especially since his sexuality comes into question, it's an extra layer of "this can't be happening to me". Hope that helps.
