I think he spent too much of his life locking up his love and now wants to be unashamed about it. another character I'd say is (prepare for self-indulgence LOL) Riku from Kingdom Hearts! I have a fic idea with Sunny+Basil and Sora+Riku so I won't get too deep into it, but I know Basil would relate deeply to his willingness to do anything for the one he loves 🤭
