Sunny is a tiny void. representing how his desire for warmth and comfort and shutting out the truth led him to completely disregard his true nature (Loving), and now he has become what he fears the most, someone who is cruel and selfish. he sucks all and stepping into his dimension is Death.

Basil is the center of a labyrinth of thorns. his heart has been staked and he has self-crucified for the cause of Sunny. his vice is the deification of his love and the complete disregard for his own nature. you can't get near him without getting pricked because to love Basil is to love a creature who knows only to give and hurt.

Aubrey is an ogre of sorts, large and scary and parading armor to protect the small creature at its core. it fights and fights and the entire dimension is a war-zone of sorts. you can't get anywhere without getting hurt by the tinier ogres. they're all just masks put up to try and protect grief.

Kel is the sun of a world with no ozone layer. he literally burns you if you step outside, representing his toxic positivity and how it burns through all that's left of him. he loses his grief for his happiness, he loses his anger for his happiness. he loses everything for his happiness. I guess the sun is a nightmarish entity if you think about it. if not, imagine he is a walking creature made of fire trying to befriend you but if he touches you, you burn.

Hero is similar to Sunny in being a void except that the world reflects him, it's made for him. the entire world is made of darkness and you don't know when you fell into Hero's void instead, whereas Sunny's world clearly singled out Sunny as an exception and not the norm. Hero's world creates Hero as the status quo, says that all-encompassing grief is the only way to go. into the void of sadness you go!

ohh, I see, I see! the devils are related to the fears the public has so I think it would be SO funny if Basil was the Flower Devil because... how many people are scared of flowers?

update, just did a quick search, there is a phobia called anthophobia which is an extreme fear of flowers! the more you know. I don't think it's too common, so Basil could be a Flower Devil but he would be extremely weak... I wonder what the minimum amount of fear is required to become a devil. if there's like ten people deathly afraid of getting a paper cut, would there be a Paper Cut Devil?

okay so Denji is exploited by those in power over him again and again (his father, the debt collectors, Makima, the Church, it goes on) which kind of is a reflection of Sunny and Mari. they're not exploited to the same level as Denji, of course, but in a way, they're both kids with so much pressure put on them to be what they're not when they just want to achieve their dreams (like Denji!) so... let's roll with that.

Sunny doesn't have a Denji personality, but he does want to be loved. so Sunny as Denji, with Makima who rolls up. no idea who Makima would be, there isn't a set antagonist in Omori to fill the roll. imagine Basil as Makima LOL. but carrying on, let's go with Power as Kel, both having fairly simple dreams and very similar personalities. and Aki as Hero to make a cute little brother trio. either Omori or Mari is Pochita... maybe Mari, and Omori can serve as CSM himself. now who is Basil? hmm... either Yoshida or Asa. your pick!

whenever I read something good, whether it be a novel, a fic, a poem, just some drabble online, my first feeling is just awe. I am in awe of what I'm feeling, of how it was conveyed, all of it.

my second feeling is the desire to write. I see something good and thus, I want to make something good. sometimes I really like how a word was used and I'll store it in my mind until I can go dump it somewhere, or I really like how a metaphor was used and I'll tweak it. sometimes it's just the plot, the plot is SO creative that I need to sit down and remix it. basically, when I read something good, I get so hyped that I need to go and start writing.

I'm always 'reading as a writer' but I'm never really 'writing as a reader' if that makes sense. I'm never trying to emulate that quality. someone has written it before. who cares if I can emulate it. but how that influences what I have to offer, oh, that's what I want to figure out. with every word I read, I become a better writer.

I know what it's like to feel the opposite. I used to draw a lot but I fell out of it and became demotivated when that led to me no longer improving.

but here's the thing: if you love something, it doesn't matter how good you are. doesn't matter how creative my plot is or if anyone really wants to read it. it hurts when it's not up to my standards, it hurts to not get reception, but nothing, NOTHING beats the rush of writing for me. doesn't matter if I'm writing a pile of flames that has to be sent to my trash immediately. nothing beats writing for me and reading good quality shit? oh, that only ignites my drive. thanks for the question!
