playing dragon age: inq cuz it was given out for free (ig for the 10th anniversary?)
& making a Big redhead mage Qunari as my MC + picking Vivienne & Iron Bull as my faves basically means "rake-stepping" into both textual racism in-game from the characters (w little to no choice to even dispute it)
+ the meta-textual racism of Vivienne basically not having a quest (it was a 5 sec cutscene 😭) plus all the OrientalismProMax involved in the writing of the Qunari faction being universal Untrustworthy foreign agents while simultaneously (racially) fetishized by the "normal" group

😔😔 it's starting to not even be fun.
also it's annoying how there's a permanent option to kick out Sera from the team for her being "trouble" (universal Rich/Powerful people hater ie. anticapitalist rogue elf lesbian) and she's the ONLY one with that kick option
but the slavery not-Roman-empire apologist who can't stop making weird comments about the non-human races Dorian can't be kicked out. I've de facto banned him from my party cuz every conversation with him is wildly annoying.

also it feels like the game devs did not plan to make Qunari playable at first cuz, from the animations to the writing, it doesn't feel like ppl actually acknowledge that I'm a Qunari.
Like Iron Bull's whole storyline would play out wildly differently but it's like they don't see that I'm a big mage man with horns and instead every dialogue and animation feels like it was meant for a human
