Some people say that instead of doing lockdowns we should learn to live with the coronavirus. What is that supposed to look like? Should triage in hospitals be a normal thing then?

Lockdowns definitely help prevent the spread of the virus. No argument on that. However, in poor countries without any governmental aid people, especially poor families, cannot just sit in their homes and magically make their ends meet. I mean without preparing for the lockdowns, you're gonna end up with more people dying from poverty or hunger. For example, within the last weeks there were several reports of teenagers committing suicide because of poverty. Imagine 11 year old boy hanging himself 'cause his family couldn't afford to buy a cell phone so that he could get online education. All I'm saying is without considering the financial impacts of lockdown, especially on poor families, it would cost lives that it intended to save.
