Hi hi! 👋 recently my teacher told us to build more of our visual library 🤔 though I'm not really sure how to go about it? How do you build yours :0 or how does someone go about being able to create things without constantly having to rely on references or pics? Thank you!!! ( sorry if this was complex 😅)
the best way i do it is by doodling a lot! literally when i have periods where all i do is doodle, things become so much clearer to me! im just getting back into it after a few week dry spelll so things are fuzzy again but i can feel that the more i just doodle whats in front of me or from imagination, that visualizing becomes a lot easier!
👀 When you doodle, do you always look at references? Or, for example, when you just watched the new Crow movie, do you look at a lot of references alongside your drawing?
when i doodle i usually have some refs but it usually goes from 'reference' to 'just wahtever comes to mind' cause i eventually get more confident in my visualization as i go! for the crows it was mostly refs cause i was in a waiting rooM FMISOFHS
do you happen to know a good place for nsfw ref? I'm STRUGGLING to find a good ref but also scared of going to those big sites~
OUGH.. sAME MDOISDSH i used to screen shot porn but im tryna like... idk look at less porn from ..the usual sites if you know what i mEAN. i like to look at a lot of classic playboy magz and other raunchy magazine clippings! those have been really fun!
👀Do you happen to know how much the plushie would be?
I think they usually average around 30 bucks! im honestly really excited for thIS... i will try my best to ensure that dinky becomes the cutest plushie oR ILL DIE.. I WIL
🥺👉🏽👈🏽 What materials do you happen to use for your traditional pieces or when you work in your sketchbook? I see some watercolor I think? Or perhaps Winsor and newton ink? Thank you!!!!
Hwllo!! and i use pilot gel pens for drawing, some sakura watercolor, and a winsor and newton sketch book! ^_^
HI HI!! I've been wondering how you make your composition for certain pieces! I have seen that you gather up a lot of different references and are able to pull from them and kinda be able to mash them together beautifully lol Like in your latest piece (Jennifer body) which I just ADORE!!! (also thank you so much for answering these art questions! I've also been wanting to ask them like those other users haha)
hey hey! and oHH well basically how you explained it! i get a good number of refs that feel close to what i want/inspo, and then i just draw it! sometimes thinking of elements helps too, like for the Jennifer piece i knew i really wanted to incorporate her face and draw a nice flowy dress! i keep what i want to stand out in mind and that really helps me decide on the comp! :-)
Ya think we'll see Jack's porcelain doll face ever again?
I THINK ONE DAY... ONE DAY!!! his bearded face has enchanted me I MUST SAY.. somehow he looks more puppylike with the haiR... b ut i do miss his fuckin muttonchOPS and angelIC FACE.> WEH
For studying art do you just do studies each day or every other day? like where you just focus on say for example "I'm just going to practice drawing heads or hands or even facial expressions! I guess what I am also asking is how do you go about practicing art? :0
hello! and i put a little bit of time on something and usually move on! liek ill spend like an hour on just practicing heads or feet or hands. then ill jsut draw whatever i want MDIOSMDIOS i find that this makes studying feel less like work and more like a "warm up"! as i draw more things will start to 'click' from those short study sessions ! USUALLY.. DIJOSDJ
Do you draw while watching wrestling? :3
oUG i actually dont! now that i think about iT MSIDOMSIODH very rarely i d o cause i really like wtching the matches but i guess if its a slow match or one i dont care about i might !
How do I study someone's art or style? Where do I even begin when analyzing an illustration they've created?
i think the best way is to truly just do a master copy of someone's piece you really really like! theres nothign wrong with copying and putting extra focus on the bits you think are the most interesting! that's what i do a lot, so many doodles where im just copying , a lot of that helps you develop your own shortcuts/style! :-)
👀Do you mind if we ask some art questions? I have a couple that I've been wanting to ask but just found out about your retrospring!
sure sure! you totally can ask me some art questions! :-)
what size do you have your digital canvas on for Instagram, I go crazy when I can't get the right size for gram or part of my art is cut off.
i always go with a solid 2222x2222! NEVER FAILS ME
could u maybe post your jungy boy fancam again i can't find it... 👉👈
oHHH which one? the Cherry Lips one? DMSIODMSIODHS
About the AI art post, it took me a while too but there's a seam on the left side that looks odd. There's some fold looking things that could also be seen as feet at a glance if her knees/legs were different, like it didn't have a specific pose in mind. The chest buttons, the curves and the lighting is also a bit iffy. It's difficult to see at first though + there's not much latex looking art around which is a shame
yeah once you really look into it it becomes more obvious! i found out by looking through their account ( cause i wanted to see more) and it was just an insane amount of posts of the same latex-y look, which all looked generated.. that and it says that theyre an AI artist in the bIO MDFSIOFMSOIF.. shit MAKES ME SO MAAADDDD
