Hi Hi! question when you use a reference how do you go about using it but not like straight up copying it?

hewoooo~ this is a bit hard to describe on text buT DMNISODHIOS th best way is to try to drwa it with as little time as possible! timed drawings are like.. my go to for everytHING SMDIOSDH it ensures that you use the reference but arent completely reliant on every single aspect of it! hope this helps!!
