How do you think Fuuta would react if he ever finds out Kazui is a cop? I think he’d be pretty conflicted since he seems like the type of person to think badly about the government but he’s already fallen for Kazui…
Hmmm I'm not understanding enough of the general Japanese perception of police to be able to answer this one well 🤔 I think Fuuta would see the government as archaic and corrupt but I'm not sure if those feelings would extend to the general police force, or if he'd mostly see them as inefficient and useless.
If anything, if Fuuta were to find out that Kazui was on the police force, he might question why Kazui didn't do more to help the prisoners. Fuuta has a very strong sense of justice and fighting against evil, and he considers the prison itself evil.
In T1 we had Fuuta frustrated at Kazui for not "doing anything" against their situation, which should be his duty as an adult and the strongest prisoner. T2 Fuuta is thankful to Kazui for saving his life, but there's a sense that there's more he could have done to protect everyone.
Maybe if Fuuta found out that Kazui was a police officer, he would wonder why he didn't—couldn't—do more to help. Fuuta's view on justice is very black and white. Somewhat naive, even. Police officers should be on the side of justice! Why couldn't you stop them? Why weren't you there to save that other person? Shouldn't you have tried to end this? ... Why are you even here in this prison?
So yeah, rather than any impressions of political corruption and distrust, I feel like Fuuta would mostly question why Kazui didn't do more as someone that should be an upholder of justice. Depending on how T3 is, you could even spice things up with Fuuta being conflicted about being the only person saved by Kazui :ppp
