less polite and subtle, more deliberate truncation/slang. sometimes i do stuff like this to cut characters on twitter, but that one was on purpose to try to keep the word "doll" from recurring too many times in one sentence.

i ended up liking it!! if Craft reads as short for witchcraft, then Keeping has a nice and obvious complement in this world.
