Is there something that you miss?

Appart from my dad, I don't really miss most things, but I tend to look back with nostalgia a lot of stuff. I'm pretty sentimental about the tiniest of things. But I'm glad to be where I am today if that makes sense

Song of the week?

Are there any artists that inspired you to pick up the brush (or, well, you know, drawing tablet)? If so, which ones are you willing to share?

I think Eiishiro Oda through the One Piece Manga is what first got me I to drawing. Yoh Yoshinari inspired me to pursue animation and Asanagi is what got me into drawing lewd.
I could go on and on about my inspirations but I rather keep it short for retrospring.
Thanks for your question, I'll be happy to discuss it further someday

if you could take one game to a lonely island, which one would you take?

I think would take kenshi, this game is so massive, I could basically play it forever

On the topic of drawing booba (just kidding... unless?), are there any particular parts of a body that you enjoy drawing? Though I suspect I know the answer already 🤭

Funny enough, breast is one of the most difficult part to draw for me, I'm never satisfied with the result, what I enjoy the most are actually the thighs.
Which I tend to draw on the thicker side unconsciously

What would you say is your favourite work of yours from 2022?

Oh man 2022.. hard to pick one really, I guess the misskey ai one, I poured so much energy on it, it was tiring but I really was proud of the result, it felt like I had levelled up on my art journey.. So I would say it’s the most important one, but my favorite is actually the gothic gal wearing a black dress, I just like how it turn out and it’s way simpler lmao

Since you've been on Fedi since before the big influx of users coming from Twitter if memory serves me right, what was your motivation to create an account?

Yup I’ve created my mastodon account back in 2020, and joined puniko’s misskey (now foundkey) instance
My motivation was just the love for open source, I discovered mastodon with unfa, which led me to install Linux for music production at first. But now It’s just for anything really. Also I fucking hate twitter and even more instagram, wish some Japanese animation studio didn’t use it for recruting

In case you ever used Twitter to post your art, what's your personal experience with engagement when comparing Twitter and the Fediverse?

I used to post simultaneously on Twitter and mastodon when I first started, and my Twitter drawing are yet to be seen, except for 1 jet set radio fan art. Meanwhile fedi as been so much more welcoming, and there is less competition since your not working against an algorithm.. One thing I would like to tho, is more people recruiting on fedi, like some do on Twitter but that’s just a me problem

What is one thing you really like about the Fediverse? What is one thing that you really dislike about it?

I really like the way you can customise anything to your liking and open source-ness of it !
What I dislike is the way some people use fedi to advocate violence and or harassment while being anonymous. But it’s inevitable with a decentralised system

If you had to decide between big booba and thicc thighs, which one would you go for?

Very tough question here.. I would say thighs, easier to handle if you know what I mean..

Does your name (i.e. bahi0u/バユ) have a special meaning?

It does! It's derived from my real name, and was a nickname given by my GF, I liked it so much and is way more easy to pronounce than my real name.
The japanese writing is the pronunciation pretty much (also they way stylize the ユ looks like my character face if you spin it around and squint enough)

whats your favorite way to draw? digital or traditional? and which tools do you like the most?

I don't really have a favorite, but I do tend to draw digital the most.
For digital I use Krita exclusively, I used to use Paint tool Sai back when I started in 2013
I have both a Huion Graphic Tablet and a wacom pen tablet, but I can't use the display one, my new desk is way too tiny for it, so I end up using my good old Wacom intuos tablet
For traditional, I like mechanical pencils the best but I force myself to use non erasable medium like ink pens.. Someday I'll start ink with a brush.. but I don't have the space at home for it
