hi berry, ive been in relationships since my early 20’s and this is the first time im single after 7 yrs (accumulated from 2 prev relationships) and from someone who has been in only long term rels, i can say that ive been at peace the most now that im single. i always tend to lose myself in my partners, thinking more about the “us” rather than the “me” which leads to abandoning my own interests and priorities.. i realized that i can only ever be in a rel if im 100% able to enjoy my time on my own..
i think this is another good perspective for the anon. a lot of ppl have this issue too, managing your relationships, yourself and your time isn't that easy. and when you get out of a relationship and you've built your entire life around the other person, it's hard to pick your life back up, and it's Hard to not immediately get into another relationship that fills the void. it's important to remember that you can love someone but you still have to be your own person
