I have a question about cybernetics! Does the quality of prosthetics have any correlation to one's monetary situation? Like, is there the possibility of a poor or homeless person not having acess to cybernetics even with their lifes in line because they couldn't pay for an insurance that covered the implantation of cybernetics?
Public healthcare will allow people to be fitted regardless of financial status, but it would be a very basic fitting to cover mobility, allow their continued service, or provide a basic living in conjunction. Any sort of fine tuning/finish would require the individual to front the cost.
Unlicensed facilities (IE, 'back alley clinics') exist and usually fall under the body modification scene, but they could also provide the augmentation services.
