so where is your mortality coming from if not from law? why are you drawing the line at 18 if not based on the law of the country you're from? you could just draw the law at 16 or 15 or 14 of even lower then.
i don’t base my morality on the law because laws aren’t made based on morals and the law changes depending on who’s in charge. and the way the world is going it seems like being queer and writing about queer topics might become against the law in many places. it already is where i’m from. so why would i base my morals on that? the law is not a place to get your morality from because it often explicitly discriminates and is amoral.
and i’m drawing that line personally because culturally in the vast majority of places 18 is an adult and society treats them that way and i, as a member of society, have come to view them that way as well.
