I was thinking about another plot! just maybe, I don't know if you have wathced shugo chara? but got reminded of nadeshiko, that for family things had to live as a girl up until a certain age, I was wondering of neul having that same issue and then finally be able to be himself... but bin refusing to stop calling him princess 💕
oh yes i watched shugo chara as a kid and this is a really cute idea!!! the only amendment i would make is that maybe its something he only likes to hear from bin (which is kinda similar to irl) bc its an affectionate childhood nickname from when they grew up together and it helps ground neul/provide him with a sense of comfort and familiarity as he goes through this drastic change in his life.
sorry im overthinking it bc i really like your idea but i think its sweeter if bin isnt calling neul gendered terms against his will haha alternatively bin could be the only person who always called neul by his real name when even his family wouldnt.
