Elliot is literally Marco’s moon goddess. At night illuminated in the moonlight Marco kisses him and whispers “I worship you more than ancient Greeks worshipped Selene!”
Who….who sent this I’m crying…especially bc Elliot’s necklace I think is connected to the moon/feminity—so that connotation is already in canon. But! I love moon/sun coupled and symbolism so much. Anon YOU GET IT.
I don’t know why I’ve never thought about Marco whispering to him and night—awake or not—worshipful things, but you’re so right he would say that. He’s down bad and probably has songs about his view of Elliot.
* Selene’s name meaning light (and as a goddess of the moon) vs Nick saying Elliot is nothing but light….im feeling unwell.
