“Dude you’re so bad. You know that sign said only take one.” I said with a teasing smirk. “Last thing you need is more candy.”

“Pfft, no one even visits that old crone” You waved me off as you smugly unwrapped your stolen treasure. A simple blue orb heavily scented by some sort of fruit. I hadn’t paid much attention to it really, but you evidently were loving them considering it was the third one you’d eaten. “Besides these things are fucking delicious. I love blueberry flavored stuff sooooo much!” You playfully accentuated your point by mixing a pile of orange and yellow leaves, giggling like an idiot.

Blueberry. Duh. Makes sense why the little round candies were blue, and why you’d been drawn to them. I swear your costume is a little too on the nose given your tastes.

“You and blueberries…” I scoffed, my breath fogging in the crisp autumn air. “Yeah, okay ‘Violet’. Take it easy though will you? There’s no juicing room out here”

You merely stick your blue tongue out at me in answer, swishing your arms at your sides. I admit it’s a cute costume. Blue tracksuit with white stripes, blue blemish on your nose. It was a simple but cute costume. Only way it could be better was if you’d invested in one of the cheap ass inflatable suits on underneath. In fact I’d suggested it.

You had not been a fan. Actually you had reacted pretty damn strongly. I even offered to pay for it. Mostly for the novelty of shoving you around in my stupid ass Wonka costume. Which had been YOUR idea in the first place. I suppose I just didn’t have the same “expertise” when it came to cosplay or whatever.

“Damn it Im all out. Those were so good too! I swear it felt like I was eating actual blueberries…” You pouted cutely, scratching at your nose.

“Yeah well we’re almost back at your place. Maybe I can be convinced to trade you the one I grabbed for a full Kit Kat.” I wiggled my eyebrows at your suggestively twirling my cane like a dumbass. You snorted in reply.

“Yeah….maybe. Honestly now that I think about it, I should probably lay off for the night. I think all my snacking caught up to me…” You huffed as you rubbed at your middle.

That was surprising. Normally you were a bottomless pit when it came to candy.

“Well it’ll all be waiting for you when you’ve made room…” I said playfully as I checked my own basket. I couldn’t wait to tear into mine. Unlike you, I knew how to pace myself.

“Yeah whatever” You said dismissively scratching at your nose again. “Ugh, I think I’m having a dumbass allergic reaction to this cheap paint. I knew I should’ve use a marker….”

“Dude that probably would’ve been worse.” I shake my head as I approach you. “Here lemme see.”

You turn to me with an annoyed expression but you stop scratching for a moment. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as I can see, just your normal cute face minus the blue dot of paint on the tip of your nose-

Entire nose actually.

“You fucking dork you’ve smeared it. Now you’re really turning violet…” I tease as I lick my thumb and swipe at your nose.

“EW THAT’S SO FUCKING GR- DUDE STOP WHAT THE FUCK-“ You shriek and flail your arms at me, though you’re giggling.

“Stop being a brat, I gotta see the skin numb nuts!” Weird ass paint seems water resistant. Spit resistant? It certainly ain’t you resistant. In fact if anything’s it’s gotten worse in the past few seconds, smearing out curiously to the bridge of your nose and stretching out towards your eyes.

“Ugh wait stop a moment. I think I need to burp or something…” You grimace a little as you rub at your midsection. Unfortunate no one had been giving out antacids. With how you tore into candy I’m honestly surprised you hadn’t had stomach issues before now.

“Okay but if you fart I'm going to embarrass you about it for the rest of the night.” I say as I roll my eyes.
