Hello! As stated in contributor expectations, we are expecting finished illustrations with background, though these can contain simple or graphic backgrounds rather than complex ones. How "finished" an illustration is will vary from person to person but we'd like to steer away from sketches or unpolished doodles for the final zine. Additionally, artists have the option to explore new ideas for new pieces or pitch unfinished works that haven’t been posted before and they wish to finish for this zine. Keep in mind each artist will be assigned a full A5 page for their illustration, so we'll consider this when we go over the pitches (for example, if you're planning on pitching something like: "Headshot of Chan with a party hat, Wolfchan is cheering on his shoulder", we expect the headshot to take up most of the composition).
