yess of course thank you for asking!! :) so what i meant by that is that rodya often tends to be overly affectionate to the other sinners in a way that can come off as patronizing, the whole difference between speaking in an overly informal way to a child vs an adult that sees you as an equal. if you see sinclair as a younger family member or similar then it makes sense to do something like putting her arms around his shoulders without warning, but in canto 2 rodya is doing that sort of thing to a 20 year old adult who she barely knows lol. especially with the way she calls him "my little sinclair" or "kid", it is a sweet gesture but also a subtle way of imposing her superiority you know?
hence why i think it would be interesting if sinclair developed a crush on rodya and had to overcome that gap between them being established by her, or make her aware that her platonic affection reads differently to him as the one receiving it. like "it hurts that you dont even see me as an option to the extent that you don't think anything of being so touchy"!! that sort of thing lol. i will share more thoughts and hcs when i post art of them but i hope this answered your questions! feel free to send more!
