of course coral <3 sangsang for you. so... i dont think my followers know that this is like one of my favorite limbus ships ever because i just love the themes of self love and self realization. sang yi is a really interesting character to me on his own and i always hope he comes back at some point... because his reationship of someone who uses his power over yi sang to keep him trapped and yet eventually changes his mind is so fascinating. imo he never wanted to manipulate yi sang or he wouldnt have felt any empathy for him when he realized the bad position his advice had put yi sang in. my read of sang yi is of a victim (we dont know his exact circumstances, but he wears t corp clothes in the first scene we see him in which implies at least he gave into the same authoritarian pressure yi sang was under in his time there) using a flawed coping method trying to help another victim with that same method and instead making things worse for him. the role of yeonshim is split between gubo, the actual perpetrator physically keeping yi sang trapped, and sang yi, who is both the external opinion of someone who wants to help yi sang AND yi sang's own voice within himself that reassures him that he can only be safe if he stops striving for anything and just stays where nothing can hurt him. you can see it allegorically as a fictional ideal of just forgetting about everything you used to care for and achieving peace in that silence.
but sang yi's life isn't perfect, he's lost most of what made himself and what he used to care for just for that safety he desired.
that's why i think the realization that yi sang didn't value himself at all was a hard hit for sang yi, and he came back to tell yi sang that he does have the option to try something else, and sang yi can't guarantee how it'll go because it was what he always tried to avoid but yi sang has the chance in front of him to leave and face the unknown. he has a future out there. that way yi sang sees that sang yi's wings were always a reflection of his own and that everything he loved about sang yi is also within himself.

i hope you didnt forget about this. cause i didnt. dieci is my favorite so dieci rodisonya!! in some universe where they were both found together by the diecis and they grew up there together. sonya wants to change the world and rodya is scared of losing her stability. on a much lighter note: with much effort she convinced him to stop reading and slack off with her <3 169 friendship in this au is my favorite so i included hongsang being supportive. thinking of yi sang/rodya interaction in c2 i think it would be cute if yi sang awkwardly gave rodya his love advice. they could all be friends... might draw more...

and rosespanner rodisonya...!! ive always seen rosedya as one of the more insufferable rodyas (not said negatively) with her character of "eccentric boss who does whatever she wants all the time but pays the bills so it works out". everyone working here is definitely sick and tired of her antics but they know her so she just takes the opportunity to go bother sonya whenever she can lol. no one can tell her off so she would want to embarrass him in front of everyone (affectionately) but hes too unfazed and just laughs and goes along with it. i could not get through 1 day of working here. i like them fighting together so much i almost wish there was a mirror world where they can... they probably have in the past considering they ran a syndicate together so i think they would be great partners!! (wait until sonya finds out a certain couple of rodyas got themselves different people as their combat partners...)

yess of course thank you for asking!! :) so what i meant by that is that rodya often tends to be overly affectionate to the other sinners in a way that can come off as patronizing, the whole difference between speaking in an overly informal way to a child vs an adult that sees you as an equal. if you see sinclair as a younger family member or similar then it makes sense to do something like putting her arms around his shoulders without warning, but in canto 2 rodya is doing that sort of thing to a 20 year old adult who she barely knows lol. especially with the way she calls him "my little sinclair" or "kid", it is a sweet gesture but also a subtle way of imposing her superiority you know?
hence why i think it would be interesting if sinclair developed a crush on rodya and had to overcome that gap between them being established by her, or make her aware that her platonic affection reads differently to him as the one receiving it. like "it hurts that you dont even see me as an option to the extent that you don't think anything of being so touchy"!! that sort of thing lol. i will share more thoughts and hcs when i post art of them but i hope this answered your questions! feel free to send more!

rodisonya girlbestfriendship with tmasc sonya is canon as far as im concerned and relatable to me personally since [data expunged]. i see them as bi4bi because i hc 99% of characters i like a lot as bi and i think this is just a funny experience honestly. what do you mean i had to accept i like a whole gender and it wasnt even the right one? <rodya. in terms of sonya though i think trans sonya is a very interesting reading combined with context from the book and especially the aspect of being disconnected from himself in a way? you get what i mean? like the way he focuses entierly on his goal and has very little care for his own personal feelings. his feelings on dysphoria and etc are also along those lines to me. but no time for that we got a revolution to start (by the way it's also my hc that rodya would get all excited about sonya growing more into how he wants to present himself but wouldnt want this to be too obvious to him!!)
