I know we need to stop expecting things from Hoyo but how the fuck do they make NPC’s darker than the actual playable characters??
I don’t play honkai, but I think people have pointed out that there are dark skinned characters in it.
Like I’m sure, being a million dollar company, you can afford to put some darkness into your characters in the studio. Cuz now you can’t even blame that they’re a Chinese company because it’s just obvious now. Like dark skin characters aren’t HARD to create. If you can make big, buff men with muscles ripping out their shirts, you can move that color selector down a couple digits.
I’m not trying to br rude or anything but like.. COME ON! There’s Kaeya, xinyan (idk how to spell) and Cadence. All great characters by the way! But they stick out like a sore thumb omg.. I m ow a lot of characters aren’t white, some are Asian if we base the nations off their respective countries.. but like even with their skin tones it’s like..
It’s stupid and I don’t know why. I’m not a good artist, I’m not a good writer either. I don’t know how video games are programmed and honestly, I’m just a viewer. But there is really NO explanation or reasoning to why you decide to make a game with nations based on real countries and don’t even MAKE the characters similar to the real people, of those countries.
Sorry I ranted a bit. I stopped playing genshin after the Fontaine archon quest and have only been around here and there. I saw some natalan trailers and it annoyed me.
I haven't touch gnsn for a week now cuz I really don't have anything going on there but yeah. I wish they would put actual dark skin characters in game ESPECIALLY if it's a nation inspired by mix regions/countries where dark skin dominates 🥹 like???? Also I've seen that apparently some EN localization misspelled Olorun's name as "Ororon" and there are Natlan characters that are named after dark skin deities. It's absolute madness that Hoyo would act like this and wouldn't even listen to their players. Even the CN community is talking about it 😞
