While I'm not entirely against the idea of a twt group chat for this event, I do have some hesitations

There were group chats made for previous events, but those were almost entirely "business" related. It was asked that people only send messages related to the event and/or questions/suggestions that would benefit the group. In other words, they were not social chats

This event doesn't really need a business chat, as most questions are pretty individualized, and I only need to send out one or two more announcements closer to the midpoint/end of the timeline

Again, I am not against social group chats! There is a general chat in our d!scord that I would love for people to talk in!!

For this event specifically, however, there's not much you would be able to talk about. You couldn't discuss anything about the fics you are writing because they would be for each other, and that is basically the whole event lol

On the other hand, I also don't want to stop the community from interacting! That's the whole point of this account. So, I will probably include a question on the midpoint check-in like “do you want to join a social twt gc?” and we can see from there :)
