Hi! I was wondering about something. This zine only really has a twitter account, and while I do want to apply, I'm not an artist on twitter (I have an art account on another platform). Would I still be able to apply for this Zine in that case?

Hi mods, can you explain what the character icons are for and how big/detailed those will be?
Hello! The purpose of the character icons will be kept hidden until Pre-Orders. They will be in the shape of a square and do not need to be super detailed. The mod team intends it to be a short piece on the side.

Hello! If a contributor happens to drop out, a pinch hitter will be called in to take their spot. Usually, it involves a shortened creation period. Hope this answers your question!

Are we allowed to use Ao3 links for our samples, or do you want us to send them as Google docs?
Hello! If you would like us to read the entire AO3 sample and it meets all the requirements then feel free to submit that. However, if you would like us to read an excerpt from a longer work please submit the excerpt you would like us to read in Google Docs. Thank you and best of luck!

How many writers and artists will be accepted?

Hello! I have a portfolio I will being using for the application and I've noticed it says no nsfw, I have a link on my portfolio that leads to my nsfw works, would you like me to remove said link? The main page has no nsfw art, the only way to view it is if the link is clicked.

Hello! You may apply for the zine if you are 16 by August 7th or the contributor results date. Complex backgrounds are preferred but you may submit samples with simple backgrounds. Hope this answers your question and have a nice day as well!

Hello! Our zine will include regular prose as well, but we would like to include selections of alternative writing like journals, letters, etc in our zine as well, which is why we recommended samples of that kind if you would like to write in that style.

For writer portfolios, can we submit our AO3 or larger general portfolio and have the mods pick which samples to read (or indicate which ones we’d like them to read)? It’s sort of inconvenient and tedious to have to make a new portfolio for every zine I apply to.
Hello and thank you for your question! Per the application, we do have specific portfolio requirements to follow. We understand that this can be tedious, but it is not only easier to have everything in one place for the mods to see and access, it also guarantees that we will see the work that you intend for us to see.
