I admit I was surprised their first time was like that but after thinking about the scene for a day it actually is fitting. Their relationship is messy, kind of complicated, even taboo, so their sex reflecting that makes sense even if you personally weren't trying to make connection between those two things. Maybe there will be more trials and errors but the more they learn about each other the easier it's to build trust and set boundaries, and not only when engaging in (kinky) sexual acts
(Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, I'm not always that good at 'analyzing' things)
no i think you're right on here!!! even if i hadn't been expecting things to go this way, i think part of the reason they DID end up going this way is because it fits with the relationship they have. i even could define the scene in namjoon's office forever ago as the actual first time they had sex (just not particularly successful sex!), and so i think the scene in chapter 14 makes sense in light of that. like that they wouldn't be able to go from this kind of awkward, painful encounter that's all wrapped up in romance and shame to being totally on the same page for their second attempt. they've never been very good at setting and maintaining boundaries (if they were, they probably never would've gotten together at all!) and they're not great at communicating with each other consistently.
also, i always love when people analyze my fic to me lol, especially this one! i do agree with you and think this is very smart, but even when i get comments that i don't agree with, or that interpret the fic in a way that feels really off from my intentions with it, it's still super interesting to me. i really don't think there are any wrong answers when it comes to takedown. plus i think thinking about things is cool, so you never need to apologize to me for doing it! 💕
