sorry anon for late reply AUGH!!!! hm i think they can be pretty fun as a ship though i prefer them to be friends ! i think neuvillette really likes lyney's enthusiasm and passion about his magic and though he's old as shit and has seen a lot he's still a little fascinated by how seamlessly lyney can pull of his shows ! and he is also impressed with how far lyney is willing to go for his siblings,,,, lyney in turn appreciates that despite neuvillette's position as the chief justice he doesn't necessarily see him and the other children as inherently evil and delights in answering neuvillette's questions about his more complex tricks (<- wants to pile neuvillette with so many friends i feel delirious)
