the figure thing was something maet said in live. basically when they went to japan, they went shopping and tael bough car toys, and maet wanted to buy many things as well but he didn't have space so he couldn't. he ended up buying two small figures, which most definitely are the ones maet yapped about on plus chat.
I think it's very very cute he went to the extent to not only do the unboxing with us, but also asking us to pick their names like, uh, they're That cute? honestly when I first saw them I was like damn these are low quality and ugly as fuck JEKDKDOF but when he made us choose a name I got attached too....
tael is a gacha game spender, while maet is a gacha figures/cards spender, and I think they make each other Worse. they probably convince each other "okay one more" and then go broke. I hope they never share a credit account because it would be over so fast for both of them with no backup JEKDKDKF.
anyways.... realistically I don't think he necessarily sees the figures at him and tael's children BUT WELL, I DO SO...... they bought them together, after all.
and now in live matthew said he still has them!. snowflake the cat is next to his cup, on his desk where he sees her everyday and brew near the candles. I think it's so sweet ... remember the tweet I made about how tael will keep remembering maet every time he sees his duck keyboard cap, and the sunsets, and so on, and how they are part of each other life in every possible way and will never be able to forget about it? well, I guess it goes the other way too, same for maet, maybe....

if you meant ot8 polycule as in, everyone is in a romantic/sexual relationship with each other, no not exactly. ot8 polycule to me is more to each their own thing, mostly.
I'm a huge fan of the ot5 hyung line, so to me in that regard I like to think that they all have a thing and could have multiple relationships between each other (ex: jyungtael, haobin, maettael, binneultael, jyungmaet, and so on).
I don't necessarily think romantically about every pairing, but it's a polycule where I wouldn't mind if it was, if that makes sense. for example, jyungseok and sungseok to me could be exes to deeply platonic, which is not any less of an important relationship, but I don't mind when its romantic either.
then, I also enjoy the polycule between gyub, rik and geon. and enjoy each relationship inside of it as well.
you could say I'd have 2 polycules, but I enjoy riktael a lot, and I also like maetrik, which would be the "romantic connection" between the two polycules, I guess, though I consider gyubseok and platonic gyubtael as well.
TL;RD if you look at the graphic I posted, I have my favorites, but I don't mind any possible combination between the lines, whether platonic, romantic or sexual. I think some are more one than the other, but I would consume fics and fanart of any of those lines, and platonic of everyone hehe!!

it was difficult because the fic is VERY relationship and feelings based, with not much of a plot. I have to dig deep both in timeline and canon compliant because I decided to go further-and write exactly about how their relationship started, developed and is right now! which is why I don't wanna spoiler too much, you'll read it for yourself, hopefully soon hehe...
I don't necessarily write with Realistic ideas, I try to, but attempting to know for sure what happens behind the curtains is delusional, so I'm left only with imagination and tinhatting, ops. trying my best to get into their heart and heads, which is not super easy. but I have written almost 4k of it, and more to come, so don't worry, hopefully you will be fed <3

oughhhhh I submitted some prompts for two fests but I don't think any got claimed yet... I think it would really make me happy if someone wrote he hao x his teddy bear taerae that turned human because I made a drawing about it so it would be cool to have someone bring it to life in a different shape. it would feel a bit like a collab (beside me paying for it, obviously).
other stuff I would be interested in commissioning it would be binneultael or hyung line. anything. either drawing or fic I would die.
of course, I would be happy to commission maettael too... absolutely so. I need jbw fanfic authors to open commissions because I had some interest, absolutely... hehe.
