ahhh um. i think its the emotional value it has to me. as you probably already know im autistic and i have a lot of trouble with processing my emotional experiences. im particularly fond of fiction because it lets me explore what usually overwhelms me easily and mahoyaku is perfect for me here. it describes so many different feelings i sometimes forget i feel too. it may sound cheesy but to me being able to ruminate on what its like to love and care and how complex it can get is very important and good for my mental health.

i think i love the theme of growing pains that is represented by younger wizards struggling to fully accept what they are, be it them not fitting their idea of a wizard (mitile, riquet) or the very fact theyre wizards and not humans (cain, chloe).

fambly... mhyk is so good at writing fambly. even an utterly dysfunctional one like northfam. im also very happy to see its not trying to shove familial relationships between wizards into the nuclear family structure honestly
