OOH OK...... writing akit is basically second nature to me at this point so i don't really have to think about it but i'll try my best to explain his Tsundere-ness 🫡

akito's Flavor of tsundere is like. he's just really blunt and doesn't like admitting that he cares about his friends because Grrr showing weakness is Embarrassing..... and when he is caring and kind towards them, it's rare for him to come off as genuinely sweet; generally, when he's being nice to someone, he's very nonchalant and straightforward about it. for example "oi kohane i happened to see that limited time dessert you were talking about on my way to practice so i got one for you" "omg thank you shinonome-kun that's so sweet of you 🥹" "yeah whatever no big deal" like... he just tries to downplay acts of kindness like crazy? he's very very thoughtful and good at observing emotions and figuring out what people need/want but does not want to take ANY compliments or credit for it

the only times he actually gets Defensive about doing stuff like that are when someone (usually an or touya) actually calls him out for being nice. like hehe akito.... you really are a sweetheart..... D DUDE IM NOT !!!!! 👹👹👹👹👹 (he gets embarrassed about literally everything ever. compliments and callouts of his feelings get him the most flustered) but yeah other than that he's just Chill. very modest

as for like. his version of the Soft side of a tsundere.... usually, the only times he lets himself show true, unfiltered gentleness and vulnerability are when he's one-on-one with someone he trusts deeply (or sometimes with more than one person.) take his legend still vivid first side story for example-- when it's just him and touya having a quiet little chat, he's able to open up about his feelings a bit and give him that one special smile that makes me really happy. the crinkly eye one. unfortunately colopale hates letting the bad dogs have meaningful interactions with the vivids (though they're doing better lately. touan i love you) and thus i can't think of a time he's gone into Gentle Mode with an or kohane off the top of my head. in my fics he does <3

anyway i don't know if i'm explaining all of this the right way sorry 😭 it's very hard to put things into words when they're deeply ingrained into my brain. but i hope this helps somewhat?
