Here’s a simple formula for happiness:

Happiness = Reality - Expectation

Our expectations often outrun reality, in which case we feel the bitterness of disappointment. So, I will remind my self to reduce my expectations to almost 0 and remember that I'm a human and I'll always error at some point. I'll give myself enough time to process the unexpected result by not overworking myself for the next two to three days.
