That awkward moment when Cliff and Eugine are a really fun couple and you love their story but you were raised in a religion that allows priests to marry and be gay it's like Eugene my boy it's okay I promise I'll introduce you to a minister who's a lesbian we can all be friends.
Oh good for you haha. He might have to time travel, alas. He would have been ordained in the 60s (it's 1980 when the story is set) I wonder if your religion was chill back then or if its more recent?
