OH when it comes to finding fics to read in fandoms, I tend to sift through the au fics first! So, I love reading and watching the author's world unfold their take on tropes or certain plot points! A lot of scifi, fantasy, magic, sick fic, supernatural, etc. before I get into the omegaverse or university/school setting ones. then canon settings.

Another thing I probably love reading in stories is how the tension gets build up, how the history and things get reveal gradually and when it's necessary. When the characters are trying ro solve like a murder mystery or solve a puzzle or something, I always try to keep my eyes peel for like any type of hints or foreshadowing.

A consistent characterization and development is another! honestly as long as it makes sense with how the story is going then I'm happy. or how relationship develops. I think those are my main appeals to me. it's why a lot of my fave fics may tend to be au setting type ones.

sometimes I'm a sucker for really (character) is a BAMF tags too. especially if it's the character I'm invested in.
