scavenger alter….. Or really just the operators that are 3-star below, or used solely as a way to show character development

I'm a big fan of nearl alt and lava and skadi alts were pretty cool also, but ch'en alt shouldn't exist I think and they should not do something like that again :)

I really like alts. They can add a new spin on the character as well as show character growth and change in a way that's reflected in the gameplay. As for what id do differently, I know it's a fucking PIPE DREAM, but I think it would be cool if unlocking an alter was less a pull thing and was more about completing a challenge. Amiya had something like this and I think it's a neat way to further incorporate the story of a character into the actual gameplay.

I like what they are doing for some who "develop" or have more to add to their lore. The only thing I'd do differently is do it a liiittle more often

I for the most part dislike them, we have such a huge backlog of npcs we want first. Give Leizi one though

I do like corrupting heart because she's actually a different outcome for skadi, and I like the welfare alts for the 3*s because it's nice to have better versions of them, there are a lot of 3*s who are interesting characters. summer ch'en really disappointed me. I love ch'en and don't like seeing her turned into a blatant cashgrab. If you're going to make an alt that's just "here's her in a different outfit" at least make it something you can unlock and not a gacha thing
I have a lot of thoughts about arknights being a gacha game despite the story's themes actually. Like obviously it's a compromise to get the story to a wider audience, but as a creator I personally would not compromise my values THAT much lol

I like the idea in theory. I think we need more Alts to be Purgatory style, free upgrades to low rarity characters. I think they need to NOT share trust. I also think we need more class changes like Amiya.

Half and half. I like alts because you're looking at the product of a a theoretical scenario. However in practice, I'm not a fan purely because I can't use the alt and their original in the same squad. For instance, I like Skadi's S2 for both versions but with OG Skadi, I tend to use her with Utage S2. For Skalter S2, I like using her as passive healing and buffs (and her summon) for the cases that medics might not exactly cover.

id prefer they just released new operators but if they insist then i'd prefer to see alts for low rarity operators
